Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. SKB-5-2014, submitted by Mohammad Qureshi for Qureshi & Nguyen Properties, LLC, for an amendment to Planned Development Ordinance No. 3870 to modify the uses authorized on property located at 3730 U.S. Highway 80. (One letter in favor and one letter in opposition to the proposed amendment have been received. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval of the application with certain stipulations. This item was postponed at the September 2, 2014, City Council meeting.)
Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. 312-2-2014, submitted by Mark Mordicai, for a zoning change from Agricultural with Kaufman-Interstate 20 Floating Zone (K20) to Planned Development - K20 with a Conditional Use Permit to allow a shoe warehouse on an underdeveloped 2.79-acre tract located at 9041 Old Nacogdoches Trail. (No opposition to the proposed amendment has been received. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations.)
Consider an ordinance providing funds for the fiscal year 2014-2015 by adopting and approving the budget for said period and appropriating and setting aside the necessary funds out of the General and other revenues of the City of Mesquite for said fiscal year for the maintenance and operation of various departments and for various activities and improvements.
Consider an ordinance ratifying the increase in property tax revenue reflected in the fiscal year 2014-15 budget.
