This time is reserved for special announcements and recognition of individuals or groups.
At this time a number of citizens not to exceed (10) shall be allowed to speak on any matter other than personnel matters, matters under litigation or matters concerning the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property for a length of time not to exceed three (3) minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. No Council action or discussion is to be taken until such matter is placed on the Agenda and posted in accordance with law.
(All items on the Consent Agenda are routine items and may be approved with one motion; however, should any member of the City Council or any individual wish to discuss any item, said item may be removed from the Consent Agenda by motion of the City Council.) 5 Minutes of the regular City Council meeting held January 20, 2015. 6 A resolution calling the annual City election. 7 A resolution authorizing the City Manager to establish a process for setting and adjusting minimum bids in the auction of tax lien foreclosed property. 8 A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Cooperative -Purchasing Agreement with the City of Waxahachie, Texas, to allow the purchase of goods and services. 9 Bid No. 2015-028 - Annual Mowing of City Rights-of-Way. (Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with D & D Commercial Landscape Management in the amount of $78,184.86.) 10 Bid No. 2015-031 - Miscellaneous Trail Improvements Project. (Staff recommends all bids be rejected and rebid at a later date.) 11 Approve the sale of the property addressed to 220 Darien Street to Jon Scott Williams in the amount of $15,000.00 plus closing costs and post-judgment taxes and authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary closing documents subject to the approval of the sale by the Mesquite Independent School District Board of Trustees and the Dallas County Commissioners Court.
Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Application No. 1095-56-2015, submitted by Joshua Canada on behalf of Cellagain, for a zoning change from Commercial and Town East Retail and Restaurant Area (TERRA) Overlay to Commercial and TERRA Overlay with a Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale of used mobile phones and tablets located in Kiosk Space 6502 at 2063 Town East Mall. (No opposition to the proposed amendment has been received. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval of the application with certain stipulations.) ADJOURNMENT
